Simplification of Pension Payment Procedure

Dear Veterans,

The procedure for activating commencement of pension has been revised by the Govt. Now, the payment of pension will commence based on the documents submitted by the retiring defence personnel prior to retirement.  The pensioners are not required to visit the Pension Disbursing Agencies to start the payment of pension.

Also, all Banks / Pension Disbursing Authorities have been directed to accept Digital Life Certificate rendered through Jeevan Pramaan portal.

    Dear Sir,
    Digital life certificate sys online is appreciated. First thing everything individual has to buy a finger scanning machine for the purpose. And to get know how it is done specially for the senior veterans I feel it is difficult.
    My suggestion is why don’t you open a counter in the Jill sainika board office for the purpose at least for the initial registration of finger print.

      Your observation regarding older veterans is absolutely correct. There are some actions being initiated to undertake Jeevan Pramaan registration at Zila Sainik Boards also.

      However, please understand that it is not necessary for all veterans to buy the bio-metric devices. You can do this from the nearest Citizen Service Centres (Akshaya Kendra in Kerala) where a biometric device is available. Also, pension disbursing banks have been directed to facilitate Jeevan Pramaan activities for the pensioners.

    This is to inform you that “Jeevan Pramaan portal” is not available in UAE. I being NRI ex-servicemen unable to log in the portal. Following prompts appearing :- This webpage is not available Kindly advice

      We have forwarded the issue to the Jeevan Pramaan authorities with a copy to you. Will purse the matter and revert with response of Jeevan Pramaan authorities

      Reply from Jeevan Pramaan authority is as below:-

      “Dear Sir,
      Jeevan Pramaan portal is very much accessible in other countries.
      If still anyone faces a issue, i will request you to provide a screen shot of the same, so as to let us know the details of the error.
      Jeevan Pramaan Helpdesk”

      So, please forward a screen shot of the website with errors to us. We will get it resolved.
