The effort of the govt and the Services is to ensure that pension is disbursed through the most efficient and effective manner. Towards this, linking of pension bank account and pensioners details with Jeevan Pramaan portal are critical. If these details are not available, then e-PPO will not be issued to the concerned veteran.
Getting Aadhaar takes not more than 45 days. So, there is not reason to wait for one year.
It is strongly advised that you take necessary action to obtain Aadhaar and link it with pension bank account, jeevan pramaan portal and the data with Naval Pension Office

How do the NRIs permanently settled abroad get the Aadhar Number? It will then only be possible to link with pension records. Till then what about the future issue/ amendments to the PPOs for NRIs.

Please allow us some time. Will consult UIDAI and revert back

It has been confirmed from UIDAI that NRIs permanently settled abroad can apply for Aadhaar card only if they have an address in India.
So, it appears that others will have to follow the procedure without Jeevan Pramaan.
