I too attended the event. It was a nostalgic moment. Even today I am proud to be a Indian Navy Sailor. All I am today is due to the Navy.

The VSF, AGM -12 held at kochi on 10th, was a perfect platform for the veteran sailors to interact with the top brass of the navy…… it really gave a warm feeling …. that the veterans … after having given their very best years of their life to the naval service …. and the widows of the late veterans were no longer a neglected lot … it did assure,, that the INDIAN NAVY still says WE CARE …. the brochure’s & booklets given are very informative and helpful …. a big thank you to PDESA & his team and VENDURUTHY for its excellent co-ordination …..

It was a well organised and well attended meeting. The interaction was worth it. Some points brought up for discussions seemed to be silly. Eg.. Why should a 65 plus veteran bother about getting Equivalant Education Certificate. What use is that going to give him. That will only be useful for those leaving Navy now or those who are below 50 years who need to seek a job. I think that the same is being issued to those who are leaving Navy now. Will look forward for future such meetings.

VSF meeting at Cochin and elsewhere is an amalgamation process between Servicing and Ex-Sailors and officers to develop human values which we won’t find in civilian Governments. Weldon!

    Sir,
According to your notification, people used to sent the Agenda points in time , but once you are not including the points, you should show the courtesy to intimate the concerned individual about reason for the exclusion of point, and try to convince them, otherwise there is no point of inviting agenda points in future.

    Regards
