1. In continuation of Indian Navy’s ongoing efforts to reach out to the retired Naval community Veteran Sailors’ Forum (VSF) was established in April 2008 to provide focus to the welfare of ex- naval sailors, widows and their dependents. The Forum has grown to 14 Regional Charters has a membership strength over 6,500.
2. In order to further strengthen the bond with retired community and to provide a platform to them for interaction, a dedicated website for Veteran Sailors’ Forum has been launched. The URL address of the website is appended below :-
3. The website comprises state of art features, some of them are appended below :-
(a) All the information regarding VSF, its Charters, Office bearers, Memorandum of Association, Rules & Regulations etc.
(b) Details of Welfare schemes to ESM by Central Government, State Government, Indian Navy and other agencies.
(c) All declassified policy letters related to ECHS, Canteen, Pension and other welfare activities.
(d) All job related vacancies received by this office.
(e) Details of AGM/GCM of VSF and its Charter which includes pictures, minutes and status of action agenda points.
(f) Provision of posting online query/grievances
(g) Link to other important naval websites/websites useful to ESM.
(h) Discussion Board
4. The website being regularly updated and suggestions regarding further improvement are welcome.

dear sir today on 10 jan 2013 the punjab national bank declared the result of SWO ‘A’ from the state of Punjab. The total seat from Punjab was 326 out of them 47 seat reserved for ex- serviceman. The bank had called 82 ex-serviceman for interview and hardly 37 ex-serviceman reached for interview. I was also among 37 persons and i was filling all the eligibility criteria and didn’t get selected. I don’t understand why. I am writing this comment because last year there was 60 seat reserved for ex-serviceman out of 600 from Punjab and the bank has filled only 12 seat and the candidates reached for interview was 200.One thing I also want to bring in your notice that all the public sector bank declaring result viz name SC, ST, Gen, PH, EXS but Punjab national bank is not doing like that.

TREE PLANTATION likely to take place
In Memory of INS Khukhri [Frigate] and Tribute to the Eighteen Officers and 176 sailors who became Martyr in Nation’s Cause during Indo-Pak war on night December 9, 1971 from the coast of Diu with our beloved friends A Kabilan, Tel I and outstanding Captain Mahendra Nath Mulla who strongly believed that the nation comes first, that the men he commands come next, and his safety comes last by sinking with the ship in brave and real heroic action.

Dear Karunakaran, I am your batchmate M.Senguttuvan, 93597, left INS Circars’ Main Camp within ONE month having got selected for the Artificer Apprenticeship course.& hence we could not meet again.
Your “Tree Plantation” initiative in memory of INS Khukhri Martyrs is a Great One. Unfortunately, I came to know of it just now & feel sad that I could not participate in it. In the last 2 years, I had been to INS Adyar
many times & tried to visit the VSF Chennai Chapter. Bur the Office was always closed & there was no mention of any Timings. No one was able to give the right information. SIR,
i am EXCHAA retired fromNnAVY IN 1994 AND I AM YET TO BE SUITABLE RE ENGAGED WITH A DECENT JOB. The Tade certificate issued to me by the CABS ,navy was not appreciated in my civil interviewS. also i do not have any official record to prove my service is equal to a degree for the purpose of job in civil. With the long time i am not in touch with my technical profession, . i reqiuest the forum to support me with any technical or administrative job which have the minimum dignity of my rank and i am sure, will keep the tradition of navy on my engagement. i am a resident of cochin and likes to based at cochin as my chjidren are schooling here. I request VSF to help and support me. i am aged 53 plus and have only few more years to serve..
